What inspired you to start your fitness journey, specifically with deadlifting, clean and jerk, hip thrust, or snatch?
Dad bod! I didn't start working out until 3 years ago when I was 35
What is your current Personal Best (PB)?
Overhead Press: 52.5 kg | 116 lb
Bench Press: 72.5 kg | 160 lb
What is your fitness target or goal weight?
Overhead press one plate (60kg), Bench press two plates (100kg)
So I can call myself a true gym bro :)
Have you faced any challenges or setbacks in your lifting journey?
Long Covid was a bummer
Mild Scoliosis means I stay away from heavy squats and heavy deadlifts
What training methods or techniques have helped you achieve your progress?
I started with a PT from day 1 and built a home gym a year into it so I could workout from home
Do you follow any particular nutrition plan or supplements to support your lifting?
Working out 3 days a week is all I can manage, I take whey protein after every workout
How do you stay motivated to keep improving and pushing toward your goals?
I have 4 kids so I want to be around a long time
Do you have any advice for fellow fitness enthusiasts who want to improve their deadlift, clean and jerk, hip thrust, or snatch?
Buy a barbell jack and start a home gym!
